Regulation Crush:
What Examiners Will Want From You at Your Next Exam

Aaron Steinberg, Executive Editor,
The Safety & Soundness Report

More examiners.  Longer exams. Tighter exam schedules.  Intensified scrutiny.  In these tough financial times, the NCUA has gotten far more involved in credit union operations than ever before. What is the latest official word on NCUA concerns and demands? And more importantly, how are examiners interpreting these broad pronouncements at your exams?  Join us on April 12 for our first lunch meeting of the year, as Aaron Steinberg, editor of The Safety & Soundness Report, presents everything you’ll need to know before your examiner arrives.

A financial writer and editor, Aaron Steinberg has been reporting on credit unions since 2007, for The CEO Report and now The Safety & Soundness Report.  He also serves as the chairman of the National Directors’ Convention in Las Vegas.  Prior to his credit union-centric days, Aaron worked a variety of odd jobs, including as an editor in academic publishing, a jazz booking agent and a jazz critic.

Mr. Steinberg offers MACUMA members a $300 discount on registration for the Enterprise Risk Management Made Simple workshop, May 3-4, 2010, in Washington, D.C. For details, go to www.erm4cus.com and use the code word macuma when you register.

Dues are based on end-of-year assets and are tiered.  Tier details are available on the MACUMA website under the Membership tab.  Member credit unions may send an unlimited number of people to association events at member pricing.  Affiliate membership remains unchanged.
